A leading company in precision machining is seeking a Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Machine Operator. JOB SUMMARY: Performs Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Machine operations on a line of standard and repetitive parts as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work instructions.

High school diploma or GED with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals. Familiarity with machine welding techniques is a plus. Must qualify machine welded groove welds of 0.032" thick materials like Stainless Steel, Nickel, and Cobalt alloys. Knowledge of weld symbols per AWS standards is a plus.
Ability to read English, analyze specifications, process control sheets, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Ability to apply shop mathematics, interpret drawings and specifications, and use precision measuring instruments.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions, solve problems involving multiple variables, and make judgements regarding process sequences and quality within standard methods and procedures.
