Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading a function dedicated to designing strategies to enhance internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key duties include ensuring capabilities are in place for the effective execution of the Operational Risk Management Framework, implementing LOB and ECF-specific processes and tools to ensure adherence to enterprise standards, and establishing quality assurance and control processes.

LOB Specific Responsibilities

The GT Risk & Regulatory Portfolio Management Executive will focus on applying risk management, regulatory engagement, and governance expertise to foster a culture of risk identification, escalation, and mitigation. This senior position involves communicating risk strategies, collaborating with technology teams, control partners, domain experts, and risk officers to proactively identify and address risks, and working with internal and external regulatory bodies. The role requires balancing risk reduction with operational excellence and reporting progress to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Monitor and report on the operational risk profile of the Line of Business or Control Function
  • Assess and oversee the effectiveness of risk and control environments
  • Implement controls and quality assurance practices to support business continuity
  • Manage responses for regulatory exams and audits
  • Define and lead risk mitigation strategies, particularly in technology areas, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with various technology and control teams
  • Recommend improvements to leadership for risk assessment and remediation
  • Utilize expertise in data management, AI, and information security to ensure policy adherence and sustainable risk solutions
  • Oversee issue management activities, including action plan development
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technology, with some within financial services or risk
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to drive change and operate as a change agent
  • Operational excellence mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and simplify solutions
  • Self-starter with organizational skills and minimal oversight
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines efficiently
