About the GSRP Associate Teacher Role

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. The GSRP Associate Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-olds based on each child's needs and the requirements of the GSRP grant, under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. We seek change makers who are curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond!

Key Responsibilities
  • Caring: Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
  • Engaged: Develop your ability to observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as communicate effectively with families.
  • Knowledgeable: Complete extensive training on child care, preschool, and development topics.
  • Creative: Implement curriculum and create fun, interactive learning experiences for children.
Qualifications
  • Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active CDA in Preschool.
  • Experience in a licensed childcare center or related setting.
  • Ability to meet state and center requirements for education.
  • Willingness to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

$500 sign-on bonus for GSRP qualified Assistant Teachers, payable after 30 days of employment.
