Global Security Operations Center@Autodesk

Autodesk is a world leader in computerized 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, and delivers the broadest product portfolio to empower customers to design and create anything using the most effective and efficient means. Autodesk’s Safety & Security Department is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive programs to protect Autodesk’s worldwide facilities, personnel, and intellectual property, as well as ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations related to environmental, health, safety, and security.

Position Overview

The GSOC (Global Security Operations Center) Operations Analyst is the foundational operational role within Autodesk’s Global Security Operations Center. This position is accountable for the continuous, disciplined execution of shift-level monitoring responsibilities, the core function on which all GSOC capability depends. The Analyst operates within established procedures and response protocols, executing defined workflows across physical security technology platforms, responding to system-generated events, and producing accurate documentation for every incident handled.

This role operates under the direct supervision of the Lead Analyst on shift and receives structured guidance from the GSOC Manager. The Analyst is not expected to devise operational strategy or independently manage complex or multi-party incidents; rather, they are expected to execute reliably, elevate appropriate and develop technical and procedural fluency at pace. Proficiency at this level means the Analyst can be trusted to own any standard alarm, access event, or documentation task without requiring real-time oversight for routine situations.

This position will report to the GSOC Manager, and it is an on‑site role in our Denver, CO office. This role will be working the overnight shift and the shift schedule will include weekends.

Responsibilities

Security System Monitoring:

  • Maintain continuous, attentive monitoring of all GSOC platforms during assigned shift, including access control, CCTV, visitor management, alarm management, and case management systems
  • Review system dashboards, event queues, and monitoring feeds at defined intervals; identify anomalies, system faults, or behavioral patterns that warrant review
  • Verify alarm authenticity before response escalation; distinguish nuisance alarms from credible events using established triage criteria
  • Confirm camera coverage and system health at shift start; log and elevate any observed hardware or software faults to the appropriate technical team

Incident Response Execution:

  • Respond to security alarms, access control violations, duress activations, and other system-generated events in strict accordance with GSOC response protocols
  • Execute the initial phases of emergency response procedures including contacting on‑site responders, coordinating with emergency services, and relaying situational updates under Lead Analyst guidance
  • Track incident status in real time during active events; provide accurate, concise updates to the shift Lead Analyst at defined intervals
  • Support multi‑event response by managing lower‑priority incidents or communications tasks while the Lead Analyst coordinates a primary response
  • Conduct post‑incident documentation immediately following event resolution; capture all key facts, timeline details, parties involved, and actions taken

Access & Badge Administration:

  • Process standard badge and physical access requests for employees, contractors, and visitors in compliance with access control policies and approval workflows
  • Verify requestor identity and authorization before activating or modifying credentials; flag requests that fall outside standard parameters for Lead Analyst review
  • Manage visitor management system entries, including host verification, badge issuance, and departure logging
  • Audit temporary access grants at end of authorized period; elevate any unresolved or expired credentials to the Lead Analyst

Intelligence Support & OSINT:

  • Monitor assigned open‑source intelligence (OSINT) feeds, threat alert subscriptions, and news sources at the start of each shift; log any items relevant to Autodesk locations or personnel
  • Compile and submit shift intelligence summaries for Lead Analyst review; flag items requiring immediate escalation
  • Maintain working familiarity with active travel advisories, regional security conditions, and known threats affecting company operations

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Produce accurate, timely incident reports for all events handled during shift; ensure records meet GSOC documentation standards for completeness, clarity, and chronological accuracy
  • Maintain the shift log with a running record of all activities, contacts, access requests, and system events throughout the shift
  • Complete end‑of‑shift handover notes and verbally brief the incoming shift team on open items, ongoing incidents, and system anomalies
  • Support data quality by correcting records identified as incomplete or inaccurate prior to shift close

Technology Operations:

  • Operate all GSOC platforms including surveillance, access control, case management, and mass notification systems in accordance with operational guidelines
  • Execute mass notification and emergency communication workflows under Lead Analyst or GSOC Manager direction during incidents affecting employee safety
  • Follow established procedures for system restarts, failover actions, and escalation to technical support when platform issues arise
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or a directly related field
  • Demonstrated familiarity with physical security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control platforms, and incident management tools
  • Strong procedural discipline: ability to follow complex SOPs accurately and consistently under pressure
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear, factual incident reports
  • Prior experience in the Tech industry preferred
  • Ability to sustain focused monitoring and attention during extended shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required
  • Exposure to OSINT tools, security intelligence sources, or threat monitoring platforms is an advantage
  • Collaborative team orientation; able to support shift team effectively in a fast‑moving environment
  • Ability to work well autonomously
