Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a skilled GSE Technician to diagnose and repair aviation ground-support equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems. You will perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance, create work orders, and stay current through ongoing training in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred ASE and A/C certifications, and a valid driver's license. Overtime and union-set schedules apply; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs various types of automotive, ramp, provisioning, and deicing equipment.
• Performs preventative and unscheduled maintenance on all ground equipment.
• Attends training and maintains proficiency in their work.
• Create and track work orders in maintenance tracking program.
• Must wear company ID badge and meet physical requirements.
• May perform other duties as directed by leaders.
