Placements24 is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of aviation equipment in Queenstown. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient airport operations.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with heavy equipment and aviation GSE, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Technician, preferably with experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or aviation GSE.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate various tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on GSE including diesel, petrol, and electric-powered equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all GSE meets operational and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for all serviced equipment.
• Order parts and manage inventory for common repair needs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize operational disruption.
