Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM at Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport (DFW) is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Supervisor. The role oversees all aspects of GSE repair services at the station and ensures performance aligns with corporate governance, safety and quality standards.

The position requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to lead and mentor a team while coordinating maintenance schedules and parts procurement.

Qualifications

  • Must have mechanical experience and perform maintenance activities.
  • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Ability to read schematics and follow maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible for all aspects of the GSE repair services at the station.
  • Schedules preventive maintenance inspections and coordinates repairs.
  • Lead senior team to maintain safety, security, audits and training.
  • Ensure ground equipment repair deadlines are met and parts are procured.
  • Mentor and train new employees; oversee shift operations.
  • Prepare reports and assist in performance evaluations.
  • Comply with safety policies and company standards.

This position is at the Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport (DFW)

  • Hourly Rate: $31.00/hour
Main Accountabilities Include
  • Fully responsible for all aspects of the GSE repair services at the station.
  • Fully accountable for the financial performance and compliance with Corporate Governance, legal and quality aspects of Menzies’ businesses in the station
  • Schedules all preventive maintenance inspections
  • Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery.
  • Maintains all equipment records and monitors vehicle registration and hour meter program.
  • Coordinate’s scheduling of equipment to be repaired.
  • Coordinates all QA inspections on fuel equipment.
  • Ensure ground equipment and fueling repair deadlines are met.
  • Operate motorized equipment.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees.
  • Some responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policy.
  • Orders parts required for preventive maintenance and major repairs.
  • Complete shift reports and sign timecards
  • Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms.
  • Prepare disciplinary incident and/or termination reports.
  • Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed.
  • Comply with the company’s attendance/tardiness standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
Qualifications And Experience
  • 3 to 5 years mechanical experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
  • To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials, and documents
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees of the organization
  • Must have high school diploma, GED or one-year experience as a Supervisor in the Aviation Industry
  • Completion of an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic degree program (preferred)
