Job summary

W3Global is seeking a GSE Mechanic responsible for maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of ground support equipment used in aviation operations. You will service aircraft tugs, belt loaders, GPUs, A/C units, and refueling vehicles to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Based in Orlando, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose systems, replace worn parts, and document activities. The role requires outdoor work, airport access, and potential training of junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or equipment service.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required airport credentials.
• Ability to work outdoors around heavy machinery and in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ground support equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Identify equipment failures, replace damaged or worn parts, and restore equipment to safe operating condition.
• Perform routine servicing, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments of equipment.
• Conduct test runs after repairs and make necessary modifications to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Report damaged components and order replacement parts as needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain an organized shop and coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure equipment meets standards.
• Provide on-site service at customer locations and airports as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics when required.
