Job summary

Signature Aviation, a global network of private aviation terminals, is seeking a GSE Mechanic in New Jersey. You will inspect and maintain ground support equipment, troubleshoot and overhaul as needed, and ensure reliability of engines and hydraulic systems.

You will diagnose problems with test equipment and manuals, perform preventive maintenance, keep detailed logs, and complete the required paperwork. We offer comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety and teamwork.

• Experience maintaining ground support equipment (GSE).
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and diagnostics.

Job description

Persons employed as a GSE Mechanic is expected to:

• Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipment.
• Check and service ground support equipment with fuel, water, oil andhydraulic fluid.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according torequirements.
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests todiscover functionality issues.
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures tomachine or vehicle users.
• Keep logs of work and report on issues
• Completion of GSE paperwork as required.
