Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level II in Kenner, LA to repair and maintain ground service equipment such as tugs, belt loaders and pushbacks. You will perform advanced maintenance on a wide range of equipment.

Responsibilities include servicing systems, diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role requires tool ownership, 3+ years of experience, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide own tools and toolbox.
• Regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clear communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to interpret information print/electronic and use IPads/Tablets/Computers/Mobile Devices.
• Effective communication with colleagues and clients in person and electronically.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility for required credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers with description of work for each piece.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, or modify engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, hydraulics and related components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per guidelines.
• Remove, test, repair or replace components like carburetors, governors and sensors.
• Check and adjust tolerances of valves, bearings, cams, clutches and drive shafts.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance.
• Complete paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PrimeFlight standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
