Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic A to diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulic, electric, and air brake systems at the Boston airport site. You will read schematics, perform PMI inspections, and complete electronic work orders while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires owning personal tools, a valid driver's license with FAA airport IDs, and 2–5 years’ related experience, plus Air Brake adjustment certification.

Qualifications

  • Own and maintain required personal tools, toolbox, and test equipment.
  • Valid state driver’s license and FAA/Airport identifications/seals.
  • 2–5 years related experience and/or training.
  • Certified in Air Brake adjustment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using electrical and hydraulic schematics with test equipment.
  • Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment components.
  • Prepare and complete electronic work orders.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, orderly, and functioning condition.
  • Perform scheduled PMI inspections.
  • Read and understand Manufacturer provided literature.
  • Communicate with associates and management regarding equipment conditions and recommendations.
  • Work under inclement weather conditions.
