Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic in New Jersey to maintain and repair ground service handling equipment across operations. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure reliability and safety.

This on-site role requires strong teamwork and a safety-first mindset. With at least 2 years in aviation GSE/diesel maintenance, you will handle inventory, parts, and documentation while following AGI guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on GSE/Diesel Mechanic experience.
  • Technical certifications or licenses are preferred.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid motor vehicle driver’s license for air side/non-air side operations.
  • Dedication to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on ground service handling equipment.
  • Set up, install, modify, and renovate equipment as directed, contributing to continuous improvement of the GSE fleet.
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory records of machinery, equipment repairs, and service cycles.
  • Operate and drive various types of equipment, both motorized and non-motorized.
  • Execute and demonstrate competence in preventive maintenance according to schedules.
  • Respond to on-call maintenance requests, including after-hours service calls.
  • Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of ground support equipment as required.
  • Modify and overhaul power plant, drive-train, brake, electric, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliability.
  • Follow safety guidelines and respond to accidents involving GSE.
  • Pick up required parts and materials for maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations and AGI guidelines.
  • Keep the GSE shop clean and serviceable.
  • Fuel equipment as necessary, adhering to safety and environmental requirements.
  • Liaise with Ramp management, customers, and staff professionally.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Are you a skilled GSE/Diesel Mechanic ready to take on a dynamic role with Alliance Ground International? As a GSE Mechanic at AGI, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our ground service handling equipment, ensuring the reliability and safety of our operations.


Responsibilities


  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all ground service handling equipment, including preventative maintenance to keep machinery in top condition.

  • Set up, install, modify, and renovate equipment as directed, contributing to the continuous improvement of our GSE fleet.

  • Maintain comprehensive inventory records of machinery, equipment repairs, and service cycle activities.

  • Operate and drive various types of equipment, both motorized and non-motorized.

  • Execute and demonstrate competence in preventative maintenance according to established schedules.

  • Respond to on-call maintenance requests, including after-hours service calls, as directed by the GSE Manager.

  • Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of ground support equipment as required.

  • Modify and overhaul power plant, drive-train, brake, electric, and hydraulic systems to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, including responding to accidents involving ground support equipment and adhering to security requirements.

  • Pick up required parts and materials for maintenance and repair of ground support equipment.

  • Own and demonstrate proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment needed for equipment maintenance and repair.

  • Complete all maintenance and repair documentation in compliance with relevant regulations and AGI guidelines.

  • Keep the GSE shop and its equipment clean and serviceable, reporting any deficiencies to management.

  • Fuel equipment as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental requirements.

  • Liaise with Ramp management, customers, and staff in a professional manner when required.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

$26/hr.-$28/hr.
