Job summary

Alliance Ground International is seeking an experienced Ground Service Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair gas/diesel engines and related systems on airport service equipment. You will service vehicles, belt loaders, lavatory service trucks, and ground power units, while performing preventative maintenance and coordinating with management on parts and budgets.

The role requires at least 2 years in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and fabrication (MIG/Arc welding).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years in troubleshooting/repair of gas/diesel engines.
  • ASE Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt response to equipment service requests and repair: vehicles, belt loaders, lavatory service trucks, ground power units, and more.
  • Perform and track preventative maintenance for equipment.
  • Coordinate with station management to control budget and parts.

Job Description:Are you an experienced mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of auto and diesel engines?The Ground Service Mechanic is responsible for general troubleshooting and repair work on gas/diesel engines and associated systems, electrical systems, transmissions, gears, brakes, and all other systems associated with airport service equipment. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience with troubleshooting and repair on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmission/rear end, basic chassis/brakes, as well as fabrication skills (MIG and Arc welding/cutting). ASE Certification preferred. The sky is the limit!As an AGI Mechanic you will:Provide prompt response to equipment service requests to troubleshoot and repair: vehicles & belt loaders (unleaded, diesel, and propane engines), lavatory service trucks, air conditioner carts, ground power units, and more.Perform and track preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment.Work with station management to help control budget and order parts and supplies.To be an AGI Mechanic you must:Be at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.As an AGI Mechanic you must be able to:Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) in confined spaces on a regular basis.Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
