Job summary

AerSale is hiring for a ground support equipment technician. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing a range of GSE to ensure reliable airport operations. You will document work, follow safety standards, and communicate professionally with ramp teams and customers.

The position requires 2-3 years of mechanical/GSE experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Join a team committed to safety and quality in a warehouse/airport environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in mechanical/diesel/gas ground support equipment maintenance
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and service stands

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of ground support equipment (motorized and non-motorized)
• Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules on all GSE
• Learn troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of GSE
• Remove malfunctioning GSE from service until properly diagnosed and repaired
• Maintain proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair
• Complete maintenance/repair documentation per carrier, airport authority, municipal/state/federal SP requirements
• Comply with federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements
• Will retain a valid driver's license for air side/non-airside in good standing
• Follow safety guidelines set out by OSHA, EPA, FAA and management
• Keep GSE shop and equipment clean and serviceable and report deficiencies
• Communicate with Ramp management, customers and staff professionally when needed

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive all types of equipment - motorized and non-motorized
• Perform and show competence in preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment
• Learn trouble-shooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as required
• Learn repairs and procedures to maintain all ground support equipment.
• Remove malfunctioning ground support equipment from service and ensure GSE is not returned to service until malfunction has been properly diagnosed and repaired
• Own and demonstrate proper use of tools, diagnostic equipment, etc. required for equipment maintenance and repair
• Complete all maintenance/repair documentation consistent with carrier, station, airport authority, municipal, state, federal and SP requirements
• Comply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements
• Will retain a motor vehicle driver's license for both air side / non airside in good standing at all times
• Follow all safety guidelines set out by OSHA EPA FAA and management
• Keep GSE shop and its equipment clean and serviceable at all times, report any and all deficiencies to management
• Will communicate with Ramp management, customers and staff in a professional manner when needed

Work Environments:

• Work is normally performed in a typical warehouse work environment

Education and Experience:

• 2-3 years' experience in mechanical/diesel/gas ground support equipment maintenance

Abilities and Skills:

• Good oral and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as walk extended distances
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and/service stands
• Must have normal corrected hearing and vision
• Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles. The candidates driving record will be examined for violations; results of which could render candidate ineligible for position.
