Job summary

FlexTek seeks an experienced GSE Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing ground support equipment in a fast-paced airport environment. The role is ideal for a hands-on leader who develops teams, drives operational excellence, and ensures equipment reliability and safety while meeting KPIs and safety standards.

The position requires strong leadership, mechanical know-how, and a focus on efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a maintenance or operations environment.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams with multiple direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Process-driven mindset with the ability to improve operational efficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting.
• GSE experience is preferred, but candidates from fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, trucking, construction, mining, rail, or automotive manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work a 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift, including one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, scheduling, and workflow.
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
• Monitor technician performance through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to maximize fleet uptime.
• Manage parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support airport operations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and reporting tools to track KPIs, maintenance metrics, and operational performance.
• Respond to operational challenges and implement timely solutions.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
