Job summary

United Ground Express seeks a GSE Support Supervisor to oversee Ground Service Equipment, manage unscheduled repairs, preventive maintenance, and work order documentation across UGE stations. You will coordinate with maintenance service providers and vendors, and assist in station GSE audits and transitions.

The role requires travelling and strong communication, with experience in Fleet Focus and Microsoft Office. Live in/relocate to the Newark area; relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated understanding of airport operations
• Prior GSE maintenance experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Detail oriented with strong work ethic and confidentiality
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Understanding of work order management and inventory systems
• Technical background (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)

Responsibilities

• Oversee GSE inventory and ensure assets are logged in Fleet Focus
• Approve/deny station repair requests per guidance and playbook
• Maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and vendors
• Provide feedback on operational, damage, and maintenance issues
• Monitor repairs and assist in scheduling repairs with outside vendors
• Offer GSE maintenance advice to vendors via phone/email/in person
• Enter GSE-related invoices into Fleet Focus
• Create weekly/monthly station reports for budgets, damages, and repairs
• Assist in GSE inventory audits and station transitions
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance as needed
• Travel as required
