Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Fluids Ground Support Equipment (FGSE) Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of launch sites and production equipment for Firefly’s fleet.

The role involves designing, installing, testing, and upgrading fluid systems, with travel to Cedar Park, TX and Briggs, TX facilities. You will work in small teams on fluid system design, from P&IDs to commissioning, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards and codes.

Formación

• Bachelors in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of fluids, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design ground fluid systems, including P&ID creation and pipe sizing.
• Oversee fabrication, installation, checkout, and operation of fluid systems.
• Coordinate with GSE technicians, provide drawings and work instructions.
• Support policy and standards compliance (ASME B31.1/B31.3, NFPA, API).
• Lead design reviews and operational readiness reviews for fluid systems.
• Perform activation testing and develop maintenance plans.
