Job Description / Primary Objective:
Gruen Associates, an award-winning Los Angeles architectural, landscape architectural, and planning firm, is seeking a junior/entry-level landscape designer with abilities to design and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Junior urban planners or architectural designers with an interest in landscape architecture are encouraged to apply.

Gruen’s landscape and planning department is a closely knit group of professionals dedicated to working together on a variety of projects and have a passion for urban design that directly impacts our quality of life.

Applicants should pull from all experiences and have the flexibility to design at a range of scales and related environments. Design theory knowledge, attention to detail, and strong visual, graphic, and writing abilities are highly valued. Responsibilities will include field investigation, research, analysis, planning, sustainable design, graphics production, CAD drafting + modeling, and public outreach.

Gruen’s Urban Design, Planning, and Landscape Department provides urban/streetscape design, planning, landscape architecture, and planning, and transportation services to public and private clients on the local, regional, state, and national levels.

• Revit, Rhino, V-Ray, and/or other rendering programs are desired
• Writing and communication skills

Education:
Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning is required.
