Job description

Join LPi, a national leader in digital and print solutions for nonprofits, churches, and local communities. We’re expanding our remote team with a Growth Strategy Manager to help identify and scale new market opportunities for our hyper-local advertising solutions. This role also plays a key part in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets that align with our growth strategy. As the Growth Strategy Manager, you'll lead the identification and analysis of new markets for our ad-supported print and digital solutions. You will:

  • Research and analyze new market opportunities where ad-supported print/digital newsletters and service directories can meet unmet needs
  • Identify and evaluate industries, organizations, and communities underserved by current advertising and communication channels
  • Segment potential audiences using demographic, geographic, and behavioral criteria
  • Benchmark LPi’s offerings against existing providers (if any) in those markets
  • Identify the unique value of LPi’s hyper-local advertising model within each new vertical
  • Develop compelling go-to-market strategies and messaging tailored to each opportunity
  • Proactively identify, research, and evaluate potential M&A opportunities that align with LPi’s strategic objectives
  • Conduct due diligence assessments on acquisition targets, including financial performance, customer base, and cultural fit
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for acquisition or partnership, presenting findings to senior leadership and the board
  • Build financial models to evaluate market potential and forecast return on investment
  • Identify key organizations and decision-makers, generating high-quality lead lists
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to ensure strategic alignment
  • Support sales enablement by creating targeted materials and market-specific messaging
How you will knock it out of the park:

You will be effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You readily take action on challenges, without unnecessary planning and identify and seize new opportunities. You anticipate future trends and implications accurately and readily poses future scenarios. You orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish a goal and get the most out of limited resources. You learn quickly when facing new situations and experiments to find new solutions. You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years (preferred) in business development, market strategy, or advertising research
  • 2+ years experience with Merger and Acquisition responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of local advertising dynamics, especially in community or niche sectors
  • Proven experience researching and analyzing data for market sizing, fit, and customer segmentation. Ability to perform ROI modeling.
  • Understanding of database concepts and principles and proficiency in managing databases.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Experience expanding into new industries or launching market-specific outreach strategies
  • Experience with some of the following: Microsoft Excel Crosstab, Salesforce.com reporting, PowerBI and/or Tableau is required.
  • Willingness to travel overnight (up to 40%)

  • Competitive base salary of $80,000–$85,000 commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus potential
