Job summary

BILL is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Growth team. You will enhance onboarding and revenue-driving features, collaborating across product, design, and data teams to deliver scalable SaaS solutions.

The role emphasizes building high-impact experiences for customers, advancing monetization workflows, and leveraging Gen AI to improve engineering workflows. This is a remote-first opportunity with in-office options.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Three+ years developing systems/software for large business environment platforms on Java.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable SaaS apps.
• Experience with AWS: ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, Kinesis, etc.
• Database design for SQL and NoSQL (Oracle, MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Experience with build tools like Gradle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leveraging Gen AI to accelerate software engineering with prompts and LLM integration.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration with PMs.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Growth engineering to optimize first-time user experiences.
• Contribute to pricing, packaging, upgrade/downgrade flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering with business goals.
• Build and improve scalable SaaS features that impact revenue and engagement.
