Job summary

The Misch Group in Ohio seeks a full-time Mechanical Engineer/Designer with at least 3 years of experience to support growth. Initial focus on HVAC and plumbing design, calculations, and field work, with potential progression to project manager/engineer.

Strong problem solving and collaboration are essential. The role involves design layouts, schematics, site investigations, and coordination with architects, electrical and structural teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems, perform design computations including loads, air and piping distribution; select equipment; prepare specs; perform field work.
• Prepare design layouts for commercial/industrial mechanical systems.
• Create schematics for various systems.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical, structural, civil teams; review colleagues' work.
• Conduct on-site investigations to confirm existing conditions.
• Familiarize with current mechanical codes and standards.
• Build relationships with other discipline personnel and manufacturers reps.
• Prepare general and mechanical specifications.
