Job summary

The City of Bellevue is seeking Swim Instructors to work at the Bellevue Aquatic Center. This role offers flexible hours and a friendly team environment to help students of all ages gain water confidence and life-saving skills.

Responsibilities include delivering group and private swim lessons, with morning, afternoon, evenings, and weekend shifts. Prior lifeguard certification is preferred; background checks are required. Lifeguard classes are available if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Active lifeguard certification is required to be hired (preferred).
• Lifeguard certification from American Red Cross preferred.
• Candidate must pass criminal background check.
• Able to swim 300 yards and submerge to 13 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction in group and private lessons.
• Work with diverse age groups in a safe, supportive setting.
