Job summary

The FSBDC at UCF seeks an experienced Business Development Consultant II to provide general consulting and conduct workshops for small business owners in Brevard County. You will assist with access to capital, marketing, government contracting, operations, and new venture planning, while building relationships with lenders and civic organizations.

This on-site role requires travel between locations and collaboration with local businesses, lenders, and community partners to meet goals and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• MBA or master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience in business management, consulting, or entrepreneurship is valued.

Responsibilities

• Delivers one-on-one consulting to existing and emerging small businesses across access to capital, accounting/finance, marketing, HR, operations, and new venture planning.
• Cultivates and sustains relationships with lenders, partners, and civic groups to support objectives and funding.
• Plans, develops, and delivers small business educational programs and seminars to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed.
• Performs outreach to educate clients, partners, and stakeholders about SBDC services and impact.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
