Job summary

The University of North Florida FSBDC seeks a Small Business Consultant to deliver consulting, training, and outreach across an 18-county region from the UNF office. You will lead assigned programs, ensure timely deliverables, meet KPIs, and collaborate with university staff to drive program success.

Responsibilities include direct client services—group training, individual counseling, and public appearances—to help Florida-based small businesses start and grow.

• Deliver consulting, training, and outreach in the 18-county service area.
• Ensure timely achievement of program deliverables.
• Meet assigned KPIs annually.
• Lead assigned programs within the SBDC.
• Work collaboratively with university staff to ensure programs success. May interpret departmental policies for area of responsibility.
• Consultant reports to the UNF SBDC Associate Director.
• Employee will provide direct client services including group training, individual counsel, and public appearances.
• Assist small businesses with activities to start and grow a Florida based small business.
• Consultant delivers UNF SBDCs targeted focus programs as assigned, including micro enterprise assistance programs.
