Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 2+ years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience.
• Or 4 years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and underwrite assigned middle market book to achieve profitability and objectives.
• Select profitable new business through risk analysis and coverage review.
• Classify and price risks with underwriting judgment and tools.
• Handle complex or larger accounts that may require reinsurance.
• Monitor premium growth by territory and agency; perform profit analysis.
• Develop and maintain strong agent relationships; travel as needed.
• Communicate effectively to provide prompt, professional service.
• Lead reviews on larger accounts and stay current on state regulations.
