Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Mathematics (Grades 5-8) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• SEI endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum of 1-2 years teaching experience preferred, especially in urban public schools.
• Experience working with diverse learners, including English Language Learners.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility to be a strong, positive force daily in their classroom—motivate students to learn.
• Design, implement, and collaborate around high-quality curricula that align with Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
• Motivate students to achieve high levels by setting goals and providing actionable feedback.
• Build supportive relationships with colleagues and staff, and mentor associate teachers.
• Engage in weekly professional development and coaching to improve instruction and classroom management.
• Support school-wide systems to ensure consistency in learning environments.
• Establish strong classroom culture and routines to maximize learning time.
• Build relationships with students and families in advisory settings up to 14 students.
• Other duties as assigned by administration.
