Title: Growth Marketing Manager

GO International | Role Description

Reports to: Vice President, GO International | Classification: Full-Time, Exempt | Location: Kansas City

Organizational Profile

GO International exists to break the Orphan Cycle — a recurring pattern where poverty, abuse, and lack of resources fracture families, pushing vulnerable children into orphanages, exploitative systems, and trafficking. Rather than treating the symptoms of poverty, we address its root causes through two complementary vehicles: GOEX Apparel, a fair-trade custom apparel social enterprise that creates dignified economic opportunity in vulnerable communities, and the Strong Family Program, a scalable family strengthening initiative delivered through local partner churches and organizations worldwide. Together, they form an upstream strategy, one that invests in the economic and relational infrastructure families need to stay together, grow stronger, and change the trajectory of their communities.

The Context

While "flourishing" is often defined in academic or theoretical terms, we sought to understand it directly from the families we serve. Their answer was simple yet profound: "helping someone even when I don't feel at my best." This insight reshaped our entire strategy. We developed a framework centered on Bursts of Flourishing - moments when families, even in their struggles, learn to care for one another and extend that care outward into their communities. These small, intentional acts of love and resilience create ripple effects that lead to long-term transformation.

GOEX extends this same philosophy into the marketplace. Every apparel order placed through GOEX is a direct investment in communities where dignified work is itself a form of family protection, reducing the economic pressures that so often drive family breakdown in the first place. Strategy and compassion are not in tension here. They are the same thing.

Our Impact

The results have been more powerful than we ever imagined. Families not only find healing within themselves but begin to change the trajectory of their communities. Children remain where they belong: safe, loved, and within family. And as GOEX grows, so does the economic foundation that makes that stability possible in some of the world's most vulnerable places.

GO International is not responding to a crisis. We are preventing one through dignified work, restored families, and communities learning to flourish from the inside out. The opportunity in front of us is generational, and we are building the team to match it.

What This Role Is and Is Not

This is not a brand awareness role. It is not a content calendar role. It is not an impressions role.

This is a role for someone who wakes up thinking about pipeline. Who measures success in apparel leads, donor sign-ups, and partner inquiries and who knows exactly which campaign, message, and channel drove each one. If you prefer "growing audience" over "generating revenue," this is probably not the right fit.

If you've built digital programs that produced measurable business results, preferably inside an organization, not at an agency, and you want to do it for a mission that matters, keep reading!

About the Role

This is a builder role. There is no fully-formed digital machine to step into. You will design the strategy, help configure the tools, help set the KPIs, and execute.

The Growth Marketing Manager is GO International's in-house architect for digital revenue and donor acquisition. This person will develop and execute integrated digital strategies across web, social, paid advertising, email, and other online platforms with a single purpose: converting audience into action across two distinct but complementary revenue streams.

You will own, understand and optimize the entire customer lifecycle or AARRR (Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, Revenue) for both GOEX Apparel (commercial) and the Strong Family Program (nonprofit). You will work closely with the Creative Director, Technology/IT, and Data teams, and you will manage campaigns end-to-end using CRM data to drive decisions. You will report into the Integrator and sit on the Marketing/Advancement team.

What You Will Be Accountable For

Your performance will be measured weekly against four primary metrics on the organizational scorecard:

  • Apparel leads generated – Qualified inquiries from digital channels into GOEX sales pipeline (Stream: GOEX Revenue)
  • Strong Family partner leads generated – Orgs / churches expressing interest in implementing the STRONG FAMILY Program (Stream: STRONG FAMILY Growth)
  • Monthly donors signed up – New recurring donors activated through digital giving funnels (Stream: Advancement)
  • Major donor leads generated – High-capacity prospects identified and moved to active cultivation pipeline (Stream: Advancement)
Team & Resources

You will not be building in a vacuum. You will have:

  • A Creative Director who owns brand, design, and visual execution freeing you to focus on strategy, copy, and channel performance
  • Technology / IT support for tracking implementation, integrations, and platform configuration
  • Data and AI tools to accelerate audience research, content iteration, and performance analysis
  • Direct access to both GOEX Sales and Strong Family leadership to stay close to what's actually converting downstream

What you will not have is a fully built playbook. You are expected to write it in partnership with the current teams.

Core Responsibilities
Digital Strategy Development & Ownership
  • Design, build and maintain an integrated digital engagement strategy that serves both GOEX Apparel's commercial goals and Strong Family's advancement and partner growth goals
  • Set quarterly targets by channel and funnel stage; build the plans to hit them
  • Own the full customer/donor journey from digital first touch to hand-off to Sales or Advancement
  • Conduct regular audits of channel performance and reallocate resources based on what's working
Lead Generation — GOEX Apparel
  • Develop and execute paid and organic strategies to generate qualified apparel leads across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, email, and other relevant platforms
  • Build and optimize landing pages, lead capture forms, and email sequences in collaboration with the Creative Director
  • Partner with GOEX Sales to define lead quality criteria and ensure smooth handoff and feedback loops
  • Track cost-per-lead and lead-to-quote conversion; optimize relentlessly
Donor & Partner Acquisition — Strong Family
  • Build digital funnels specifically designed to recruit implementing partners (churches, nonprofits, NGOs) into the Strong Family network
  • Develop monthly giving programs and recurring donor acquisition campaigns across email, social, and paid channels
  • Generate and qualify major donor leads through digital engagement — content, events, targeted outreach — and pass warm prospects to the Advancement team
  • Understand the Strong Family mission deeply enough to communicate it compellingly to different audiences: donors, implementing partners, and church leaders
CRM, Data & Optimization
  • Utilize dashboards and reporting that connect digital activity to downstream outcomes — not just traffic, but leads, conversions, and revenue
  • Use A/B testing, audience segmentation, and attribution modeling to improve performance over time
  • Collaborate with the Technology/IT and data teams to ensure tracking infrastructure is sound and data is actionable
  • Maximize use of CRM and all features to support pipelines and lead conversions
Content & Channel Execution
  • Develop and manage the editorial calendar across web, email, and social in collaboration with the Creative Director who owns design and brand execution
  • Write or direct the writing of copy that converts: ads, email subject lines, landing pages, donation asks, and partner recruitment messaging
  • Manage paid media budgets across platforms; own spend decisions and report ROI to the Integrator
  • Stay current on platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging tools, including AI-powered marketing tools, and bring relevant innovations to the team
Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Integrator and works in close collaboration with the Creative Director (Marketing / Creative seat), GOEX Sales Lead, and the Strong Family Field Implementation and Advancement teams. It is a peer-level relationship with the Creative Director — both roles serve the marketing and advancement function together.

Qualifications
Required
  • 3–7 years of growth focused digital marketing experience
  • Demonstrated track record of building digital programs that produced measurable lead generation, donor acquisition, or revenue results with numbers to back it up
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Claude, Fundraise Up, and Customer IO preferable
  • Proficiency across the digital toolkit: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, email platforms (Customer IO preferred), and web analytics (GA4 or similar)
  • Strong, AI enabled copywriting skills - you can write a subject line, an ad headline, or a donor ask that actually converts
  • Experience managing paid media budgets with accountability for ROI
  • Ability to build and present strategy, not just execute tasks, and to own results, not just activity
Preferred
  • Experience in a dual-audience environment (commercial + nonprofit, or B2B + B2C)
  • Familiarity with faith-based, international development, or social enterprise contexts
  • Experience with SEO, SAIO, marketing automation, or account-based marketing
  • Comfort with AI-powered marketing tools (content generation, audience modeling, personalization)
You Are Probably the Right Person If
  • You have a portfolio of campaigns where you can say: "I built this, it generated X leads / Y donors / Z revenue"
  • You find brand awareness metrics mildly interesting and conversion metrics genuinely exciting
  • You’re a high-capacity individual who enjoys having a variety of projects going at any given time
  • You can hold the tension between different audiences and communicate compellingly to both
Core Competencies for This Role
  • Results ownership: you measure yourself by outcomes, not outputs
  • Creative, strategic thinking: you can build the plan, not just execute someone else's
  • Channel fluency: you know each platform's strengths, limitations, and cost structures
  • Data Analysis Skills: you have the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies
  • Technical Proficiency: you understand and utilize the latest technology and tools available for marketing
  • Mission alignment: you understand why upstream poverty solutions matter and can communicate that passion digitally
  • Builder mentality: you are energized by creating systems from scratch, not maintaining mature ones
