The RoleWe’re looking for a scrappy, creative, and relentless Growth Marketing Lead to ignite consumer growth across our web-based learning platform and our new mobile app—like Duolingo for business skills. You’ll be the first dedicated consumer marketer at CodeSignal, responsible for crafting and executing guerrilla-style tactics that drive explosive growth among students, early-career professionals, and lifelong learners—whether they’re learning on the go or from their laptop.

This is not a traditional growth role. We’re not looking for someone to just optimize paid channels or scale SEO content. We want a guerrilla marketer who thrives on experimentation, finds clever paths to go viral, and loves understanding what makes consumers tick. You’ll be a one-person growth engine, but you’ll have budget, support, and deep cross-functional collaboration with leadership, product, design, and marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute scrappy, high-impact acquisition tactics to grow top-of-funnel awareness for both our mobile app and desktop learning platform for individuals
  • Drive early user growth through creative channels like campus activations, referral programs, influencer partnerships, and unconventional viral campaigns
  • Experiment rapidly to uncover what resonates with 18–24 year olds and other consumer learner segments
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Brand & Comms to align go-to-market strategies with learner insights and in-product behavior
  • Double down on high-performing channels and campaigns to create momentum and inform future growth efforts

What Success Looks Like

  • A measurable increase in top-of-funnel activity: more consumer signups, mobile downloads, and learning session starts across both app and desktop
  • Early traction and word-of-mouth momentum within key communities—especially students and early-career professionals interested in business skills
  • Clear signals that non-engineering users are engaging with Learn content on topics like AI, communication, and leadership
  • Repeatable tactics and growth loops that can be tested, refined, and expanded over time

You Might Be a Fit If You

  • Have 3–6 years of experience in consumer/mobile growth marketing
  • Have launched (and grown) a mobile app—especially in education, productivity, wellness, or social platforms
  • Have driven top-of-funnel acquisition through scrappy, creative campaigns (not just paid media or SEO)
  • Are deeply tuned into how Gen Z thinks, talks, shares, and learns—bonus if you've marketed to students or built campus ambassador programs
  • Don’t just come up with ideas—you roll up your sleeves and bring them to life, fast
  • Can point to campaigns or tactics that created momentum or breakout growth
  • Are curious about what makes learners try something new—and obsessive about what gets them to stick around

The SalaryIn accordance with local regulations in jurisdictions where CodeSignal may hire, we are projecting an annual base salary in the range of USD $125,000-$180,000. This range encompasses all seniority levels eligible for this position. Offer packages often contain additional compensation in the form of commission or performance bonuses, equity, and/or benefits such as those listed below. Offers are awarded on an individual basis and are subject to factors such as, without limitation, a candidate’s level of experience, growth trajectory, and local labor market. Employees' compensation is reviewed and adjusted regularly.
