Perplexity is seeking a Design Engineer to turn perplexity.com into a real growth engine, working closely with brand designers, PMMs, and growth teams. You will ship product launch pages, campaign landing pages, and the components that empower teams to move fast without sacrificing quality.

This hands-on role requires turning a Figma file, a Slack thread, or a rough sketch into polished, shipped pages quickly while maintaining a strong focus on responsive design and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on marketing or growth sites as front-end or design engineer.
• A portfolio site showing marketing site and design work.
• Strong skills in React, CSS, and modern frameworks.
• Deep understanding of responsive design and design-to-code workflows.
• Experience maintaining a reusable component library and attention to design details in code.
• A real eye for design and ability to differentiate between almost right and actually right.
• Stellar communication and track record of working in cross-functional teams.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously improve craft.

Responsibilities

• Ship product launch pages and evergreen marketing pages from Figma handoff to production.
• Collaborate with brand designers to create interactive experiences that engage users.
• Maintain and extend the design system and component library, aligning Figma and production.
• Work with paid ads and growth teams to run A/B tests on landing pages, popups, and upsell modules, then iterate.
• Migrate Framer collections to Sanity and model schemas for non-engineers to use, shipping new content types.
• Design and unblock yourself when resources are constrained, turning rough directions into shipped pages.
• Improve CMS workflows, i18n, SEO, experimentation, and internal tools to speed up the marketing team.
