Job summary

Schott in Duryea, PA is seeking a Logistics Operator/Warehouse associate to maintain material flow, package glass, and handle shipping duties. Candidates should have 1–3 years in warehousing, a high school diploma or GED, and stand-up forklift experience (Raymond).

The role includes union benefits and a starting rate of $26.58 per hour with progression through 18 months, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Must have stand-up forklift/Raymond experience.
• 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a flow of materials through production operations.
• Package glass in proper containers verifying product with packing slip.
• Involve nailing, banding, weighing, labeling, and transporting to and from plant areas or to a storage or drop area.
• Load, unload, and deliver materials received or shipped to designated locations.
• Check receivers.
• Fill designated orders for shipment by pulling glass from storage and drop areas.
• Maintain inventory of stored items by location and perform monthly inventory cycles.
• Operate moving, lifting, and tiering equipment to load and unload, and pull orders from storage for shipment.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and forward paperwork to billing/shipping coordinator.
• Scan and check orders into Lower Warehouse.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness within work areas.
• Implement 5S plus safety principles within work areas.
• Build crates or special packaging as needed.
• Sort and deliver UPS and FedEx deliveries.
• Locate glass and other material into inventory when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned
