Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Staff Accountant in Miamisburg, OH to support tax preparation, audit procedures, and client engagements while developing increasing responsibility. You will grow technical proficiency, handle tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, and individuals, and participate in ongoing training and professional development as you progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial statements.
• Actively pursuing or planning to pursue CPA certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
• Prepare accurate partnership, S corporation, and individual tax returns.
• Prepare income tax projections and estimated tax calculations.
• Maintain and organize client files in accordance with firm standards.
• Clearly document workpapers and support audit and tax conclusions.
• Assist with financial audits to ensure financial statements comply with GAAP.
• Collaborate with engagement team members to identify and resolve client issues.
• Maintain open communication with management regarding project status.
• Manage time effectively to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Participate actively in training and professional development opportunities.
• Support Interns as they grow in their roles.
