Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join the Applebee’s kitchen family. You will handle assigned prep work and cook’s station, maintaining high standards for presentation, quality and cook times, while learning all kitchen department roles.

You’ll be cross-trained across kitchen areas, follow recipes and specifications, and contribute to a positive team environment under our “Be a Good Neighbor” ethos.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
