Job summary

Perennial Environmental Services LLC, a growing environmental consulting firm, seeks a Mid-Level Environmental Permitting Specialist for our Houston office. The role focuses on data analysis, preparing technical reports, environmental permit applications, and NEPA documentation, offering practical permitting and compliance experience.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of federal/state regulatory experience, familiarity with major environmental laws, and proficiency with Microsoft 365; hybrid work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
  • Familiarity with Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act and other federal environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience coordinating with permit-issuing agencies (e.g., USACE, USFWS).
  • 3–5 years federal/state regulatory compliance with 2+ years in project management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate directly with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Prepare and editorially review technical environmental reports and permit applications.
  • Involve in consultations with clients and environmental agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
