Job summary

Williams is hiring an Environmental Specialist III or IV in Houston to manage moderately complex projects with specialized expertise in NEPA, water, cultural resources, and permitting. You’ll oversee scheduling, cost estimation, risk assessment, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams and agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4–8 years of environmental experience, with strong organizational, communication, and regulatory skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum four (4) years’ environmental experience (Specialist III).
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience (Specialist IV).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental permitting processes, including FERC and NEPA.
  • Ability to manage multiple permits across large-scale projects with aggressive deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains environmental policies, processes, and compliance documentation.
  • Interprets regulations to ensure adherence.
  • Assesses environmental risks and mitigation strategies; prepares regulatory documentation.
  • Leads or supports planning activities such as scheduling, cost estimation, and reporting.
  • Prepares complex permit applications and maintains permitting schedules.
