Job summary

Active Dental is seeking a Cross-Trained Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team that values development, mentorship, and community. This full-time/part-time role supports both clinical and administrative tasks across multiple Dallas-Fort Worth locations, including Prosper.

You will work with dentists, hygienists, and front-office staff to ensure a seamless patient experience from start to finish. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, strong computer skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Cross-training experience or willingness to learn both clinical and admin tasks.
• Strong computer and dental software skills.
• Knowledge of compliance with dental regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all clinical procedures (four-handed dentistry, room setup/breakdown, sterilization).
• Take high-quality X-rays and support patient care during procedures.
• Support hygienists with preventative and periodontal treatments.
• Assist with charting and treatment planning.
• Contribute to inventory, lab coordination, and supply management.
• Help with front-office duties as needed (cross-training component).
• Deliver a warm, family-like experience for every patient.
• Participate in opening and closing duties as a team.
