Job summary

Maine Eye Center, P.A. seeks a fellowship-trained Cornea, External Disease & Refractive Ophthalmologist to join our established Portland practice. Build a subspecialty cornea and refractive surgery program with strong referral networks and experienced support staff.

The role offers a platform for clinical and surgical growth within an integrated practice and ambulatory surgical center. Maine licensure eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for Maine medical licensure.
• Experience with DMEK, DSAEK, and penetrating keratoplasty is preferred.
• Experience with LASIK and PRK is preferred.
• Interest in building referral relationships and expanding cornea/refractive services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of corneal, external disease, ocular surface, and anterior segment conditions.
• Develop and grow a comprehensive cornea and refractive surgery patient population.
• Perform advanced corneal and anterior segment surgeries (e.g., keratoplasty, LASIK/PRK).
• Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the practice for complex cases.
