We’re looking for a Grow Technicianto join our team and play a critical role in supporting plant cultivation within our advanced hydroponic vertical farm. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about plant health, precision, and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily grow operations including plant nutrition, irrigation, and crop health
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, filters, and nozzles
- Assist with pest and pathogen scouting and integrated pest management (IPM)
- Coordinate release of beneficial insects and biological controls
- Mix and apply nutrients, fertilizers, and pesticides with precision
- Partner cross‑functionally with Crop Care, Maintenance, Production, and Warehouse teams
- Support R&D trials and crop experiments led by Growers
- Collect plant and nutrient samples for lab analysis
- Assist with harvest forecasting and yield accuracy
- Operate application equipment, including sprayers and grow systems
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse, or CEA environments (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify plant health trends
- Experience working with data tools (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Comfortable following processes and adapting in a dynamic environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Hands‑on, proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience with Priva systems or similar is a plus
- Private Applicator Certification (VA) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in cold environments (as low as 32°F)
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet
- Comfortable handling chemicals and using required PPE
