Job summary

Hormel Foods is seeking a Farm Manager to lead the Grow Out operation in Minnesota. You will plan, organize, and direct farm activities to maximize productivity, maintain quality, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies.

The role requires strong leadership, staff training, flock performance management, and detailed record-keeping. Weekend/holiday work is expected with competitive base pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Stable work history with previous employment.
• Attendance, dependability, and performance expectations met.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Physically able to perform duties and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Good math ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maximize growth-out farm productivity and profit through planning, directing and control.
• Train employees and communicate with Area Production Supervisor.
• Manage flocks to achieve optimal poult and turkey performance.
• Plan farm work, maintain livability records and attendance calendars.
• Monitor environmental conditions for maximum performance.
• Enforce sanitation, biosecurity and company policies.
• Support preventative maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Vaccination activities per staff veterinarian guidance.
• Ensure animal welfare and adherence to procedures.
