Job summary

Journey of Faith Church is seeking a role dedicated to strategic planning for Life Groups. The position manages leader development, coordinates training events, and oversees day-to-day administration including budget and data oversight. The goal is healthy, growing Life Groups that multiply across campuses and enhance guest experiences.

The role emphasizes leadership development, cross-campus alignment, and measuring ministry effectiveness to continuously improve community life across our church.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new life group leader trainings and continue developing a new leader pipeline.
• Connect, Coach, and Care for existing group leaders.
• Cultivate a culture of group multiplication with existing group leaders.
• Lead ongoing development and care for group leaders through leader trainings and gatherings.
• Lead three annual group modules that connect people into meaningful community, ensuring a strong guest experience for on-campus groups and casting vision for healthy off-campus Life Groups.
• Develop consistent multi-campus group alignment and culture.
• Develop clear assimilation pathways in collaboration with the community life department.
• Identify clear metrics to evaluate group participation, leadership development, and ministry effectiveness.
• Build relationships with group leaders.
• Launch mid-size gatherings, e.g. Table Groups.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our goal for every person at Journey of Faith Church is for them to experience authentic community where they develop a transforming, growing relationship with Jesus and through which they are a blessing to others. The primary medium for that community is Life Groups. In order for our Life Groups to be healthy, growing and productive places of spiritual growth, we need to provide guidance, support, training and encouragement to the leaders of our Life Groups. This position will be directly responsible for the strategic planning for group growth, managing leader development, facilitating training events, and overall administration of day-to-day affairs including budget management and data oversight.
