Job summary

Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking energetic, certified instructors to grow our wellness program. Lead inclusive, safe group classes and help shape evolving schedules across various times to serve our community. Create a welcoming space for members of all backgrounds and abilities.

You will support members’ personal wellness goals, foster community inside and outside the studio, and uphold safety procedures while keeping accurate records and adhering to YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Group fitness certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) or YMCA Foundations must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Specialty format certification (e.g., Zumba, Yoga, Cycling, HIIT) is a plus.
• SilverSneakers and YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certifications highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age; must pass background check and drug screening.

We're growing our wellness program and we're looking for energetic, certified instructors to help us do it! As part of our commitment to healthy living for all, we're expanding the variety of group fitness classes we offer and the times they're offered to better serve our community.
