Job summary

Zone 6 Fitness in North Kansas City is seeking enthusiastic Group Fitness Instructors to join our team. Candidates should possess a Personal Training or Group Training Certification and a CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities include leading group sessions, checking in members, and motivating clients to achieve their fitness goals. This role offers $40 for each class taught. We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills who are outgoing and energetic, able to engage with a diverse clientele.

Qualifications

• Preferred CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must have or be pursuing a Personal Training or Group Training Certification.

• Must be outgoing, energetic, and lead groups effectively.
• Must have experience leading group fitness classes (1-3 years preferred).

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking Group Fitness instructors to join our elite team of fitness professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• check in members
• Lead exercise/activity sessions in one or more assigned fitness areas and/or locations
• Set up and monitor class equipment
• Advise participants on program and class procedures and policies as appropriate
• assist in facility cleaning
• coach and motivate members in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to achieve their goals
• follow established policies and procedures of the company
• communicates clearly with supervisor/manager and fellow team members
• promote group fitness classes within current member base as well as potential new members
• Must be willing to coach exclusively at our studios

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Must have a Personal Training OR Group Training Certification (Can also be in the process of pursuing)
• Ability to interact and inspire a diversity of individuals
• Ability to communicate with people of all age groups
• Strong communication skills
• Possess the ability to follow directions/be coachable
• Professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow consultants, club staff and members
• Be punctual and exhibit a positive attitude
• Project a professional image through dress, behavior, and attitude
• Must be outgoing, energetic, and lead a group
• Willing to help promote classes by sharing photos and stories on social media

COMPENSATION

This position will be compensated at a rate of $40 for each class taught.
