Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a licensed clinician to conduct group therapy and provide psychoeducation at our Eastern Shore residential facility. The role involves helping clients develop coping skills, collaborating with clinical staff, and maintaining detailed client charts to support recovery goals.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field (master's preferred), licensure/certification to practice (ADT), and experience in substance abuse settings.

Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs.
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
Escalate significant client concerns to Clinical Director.
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Valid state licensure/certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. ADT
Substance abuse experience required
Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality
