Job summary

Qualifications

  • 1 year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment.
  • 2 years lead work experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment.
  • 3 years experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or a related field may be substituted for 6 months of experience OR one year of any supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of 6 months of experience.
  • OR an equivalent combination of the above

  • The role ensures appropriate staffing levels and backup for the program's designated coordinators.

The Group Supervisor Assistant (GSA) provides supervisory and programmatic functions of a community-based services program providing vocational, employment and day supports opportunities to people with primarily cognitive and intellectual disabilities and related conditions. The person in this position ensures appropriate staffing levels are met to ensure appropriate services are provided to supported individuals, provides back up for the program’s designated coordinators, and assists the program’s Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor (RTS) in the program operations. The GSA assists with assessing, developing, and implementing effective work methods and procedures that ensure quality programming, operational policy and procedure implementation, fiscal responsibilities, organization of program space as well as, work and information flow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Formal ACRE certified Customized Employment training.
