Job summary

Retro Fitness in New Jersey seeks a Group Spin/Cycle Class Instructor to deliver engaging group fitness sessions and educate members on safety in a welcoming environment. Reports to the Group Fitness Coordinator/GM and may promote smoothies, products and promotions while maintaining a lively class atmosphere.

The ideal candidate holds a Group Fitness certification (or multiple specialties) and CPR/AED certification, with the ability to motivate participants and help them reach health goals.

Qualifications

• Current Group Fitness certification/multiple specialized certifications preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Ability to motivate members towards participating in Group X Fitness classes.
• Strong desire to help and assist members in reaching their health and fitness goals.
• Successful completion of all Retro University courses.
• Following company policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teaching scheduled classes, beginning & ending on time.
• Providing warm-up, class content, stretching & cool-down.
• Instructing participants on effective workout methods and proper technique.
• Preparing equipment and music for each class.
• Maintaining a positive experience for members and participants.
• Assisting facility management in promoting Retro Blends Smoothies, new products, & promotions.
• Continuing maintenance/building of class participation & offerings.
• Working hours could vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
