Group Sales Specialist
Contract to Hire

Overview:

TalentoHC has partnered with a luxury travel and leisure company to find a Group Sales Specialist. This exciting position is responsible for interfacing with travel agents, partners, guests, and internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and a high closure ratio from group inquiries by performing the following:

Responsibilities:
  1. Handles new group inquiries, communicates group policies to travel partners and guests, and cross-sells different itineraries and departure dates.
  2. Issues group proposals, updates group status, and posts bulk deposits.
  3. Oversees the administration of groups by assigning someone to each new group and monitoring their progress.
  4. Maintains constant and regular communication with group clients.
  5. Follows up with key group producers and assists Business Development Managers (BDMs) with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing group deals.
  6. Provides timely feedback to the Group Sales Manager regarding group sales performance, group inventory, and competitive activities in the area of groups.
  7. Supports the fast-paced Group Sales Department.
  8. Serves as a backup to the Reservations Department during peak periods or upon request.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
  2. Computer skills required: Contact Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Reservation Software.
  3. 5 days onsite in Calabasas, CA.

Pay Rate: $22 - $24/hr (commensurate to experience)
