Job summary

Equinox Nashville is seeking an energetic Group Reformer Pilates Coordinator to join a fast-paced, high-performance team. You will oversee a dynamic Pilates program and supervise instructors to ensure exceptional member experiences in a large club setting.

You will coordinate 20–25 hours weekly, deliver the Equinox Experience in every class, and work with other departments to provide a well-rounded member journey. A comprehensive Pilates certification and 400+ training hours are required.

Qualifications

• Certification in Pilates with a comprehensive teacher training program.
• Completion of 400+ hours of Pilates education through a certification program.
• Valid copies of Pilates certifications must be provided.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Experience teaching group classes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure members have a well-rounded experience.
• Provide excellent customer service to Equinox members and guests.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness.
• Supervise Group Pilates staff and program operations to ensure high-quality programming and service.
• Ensure classes are full with high member participation.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate Group Pilates instructors and classes.
• Maintain group fitness studios and payroll/supply budgets.
• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in every class.
• Modify the intensity for participants as needed.
• Ensure classes begin and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Coordinate 20–25 hours of coordinating responsibilities per week.

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Group Reformer Pilates Coordinator to join the team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with other departments in the club to ensure members have a well-rounded experience


• Provide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guests


• Participate in ongoing training and development


• Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness


• Supervising the Group Pilates staff and operations of the Group Pilates program to ensure the highest level of programming and customer service


• Assuring classes are full and high member participation


• Recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, directing, coaching and evaluating Group Pilates instructors and classes


• Ensuring that the group fitness studios are well maintained


• Maintaining monthly payroll expenses and supply expenses at or below budget


• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class


• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary


• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class


• Ensure class begins and ends on time


• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum


• 20-25 hours of coordinating responsibilities per week

Qualifications

• Test out and completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or completion of certification on all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels


• A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education must be completed through a Pilates certification program


• Applicants must be able to provide a valid copy of their Pilates certification(s)


• Exceptional customer service skills


• Experience teaching group classes


• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing

• Squatting, bending, and reaching


• Pushing, pulling, ability to safely spot and correct clients during session
