At any given time, T-Mobile’s HR team manages multiple mergers of varying complexity, size, and industry alignment. This is a great opportunity to shape the people, culture, and organizational outcomes of T-Mobile’s growth strategy by integrating acquired talent and maintaining compliance and alignment across HR functions. You will need a strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership savvy to engage partners, mitigate risks, and deliver results.

This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and can be based in Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with HR leadership, legal, and cross-functional M&A teams to define strategic HR objectives for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Design, implement, and lead HR integration plans, including employee onboarding, compensation harmonization, benefits integration, and cultural alignment.
  • Establish timelines, dependencies, and actionable roadmaps to enable seamless integration of acquired organizations.
  • Develop robust program management tools, dashboards, and processes for tracking integration milestones and risks.
  • Create, implement, and oversee governance frameworks to manage HR due diligence, execution, and post-integration evaluations.
  • Report program progress, risks, and results to T-Mobile’s HR and executive leadership teams.
  • Align HR processes with broader M&A objectives, maintaining compliance with legal, financial, and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and third-party vendors involved in delivering critical components of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for all M&A activities, collaborating with senior leadership and partners across the organization, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address integration challenges, prioritize objectives, and align strategic goals.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and timely communications to leadership and staff impacted by M&A activities.
  • Lead HR change management strategies, ensuring consensus and adoption of new policies, systems, and cultural norms.
  • Create and implement employee engagement initiatives to integrate talent, address retention risks, and promote alignment with T-Mobile’s values.
  • Oversee organizational design and workforce transition efforts, including redeployment and outplacement programs as needed.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing HR M&A program team to manage concurrent projects across multiple companies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the HR PMO.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to HR leaders and their teams throughout the integration lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR program management or project management, with at least 3 years focused on mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale HR integration initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Solid understanding of HR systems, processes, and standard methodologies related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Solid understanding of organizational design, talent management, culture integration, and employee experience.
  • Proven experience managing contracts, budgets, and third-party vendor relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) or HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Experience in managing global or multinational mergers.
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications industry or technology sector.
