Qualifications

  • Minimum one year life and health agency or company experience.
  • Must obtain Pennsylvania Life, Accident and Health license within three months of hire.
  • Proficient in software systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to handle high-volume, detail-focused work.

Responsibilities

  • Process and issue transactions related to quotes, new business, endorsements, renewals and cancellations.
  • Interpret state legislation relevant to group products.
  • Provide training and guidance to the group products area; support and supervise processes.
  • Build producer and account relationships in the assigned region; renewals and information gathering.
  • Follow service standards; maintain documentation and meet audit requirements.
  • Escalate accounts beyond authority for approval and manage BOR change requests.
  • Invoice policies and endorsements; manage OnBase file procedures; perform other duties as required.

About the Position

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking a Group Products Specialist for our Glatfelter Specialty Benefits Division who will be responsible for an assigned Group Term and Special Risk territory.

This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processes and issues all transactions related to quotes and quote proposals, new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Interprets state specific legislation applicable to group products.
  • Performs quality control for the group products area.
  • Provides technical support, guidance and direction and training to group products area.
  • Responsible for producer and/or account relationship building in his/or her assigned region.
  • Solicits renewal applications and requests additional information if needed.
  • Follows and meets Glatfelter Specialty Benefits service standards.
  • Meets all file documentation standards and passes all audits (both internal and external).
  • Refers all accounts exceeding designated authority level to higher level for approval.
  • Processes BOR change requests
  • Invoices polices and endorsements.
  • Maintains OnBase files consistent with standard file procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required by management.
What We’re Looking For
  • Graduation from high school with appropriate course work in English and Math leading to proficiency in verbal and written communications skills.
  • Minimum one (1) year life and health agency or company experience preferred.
  • Must obtain within three months of hire and maintain the Pennsylvania Life, Accident and Health License.
  • Proficient technical knowledge in using software systems required in the performance of their position including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to speak and write in a grammatically correct manner to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal, and telephone skills.
  • Ability to process a heavy volume of detailed work requiring considerable concentration using various software systems.
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations.
  • Analytical ability required to identify and resolve problems and make decisions within specified scope of authority.
  • Ability to organize and effectively prioritize work to maintain consistent quality and quantity of work.
