Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team in York, PA. The role will manage and service an existing book of commercial lines clients, acting as the primary contact for client inquiries and coordinating renewals with carriers.

The ideal candidate will hold a college degree or equivalent, be a licensed Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Agent, and demonstrate strong communication and organization skills to work independently within a team

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent required.
• Commercial Lines retail insurance agency experience required.
• Licensed Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Agent required.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients and underwriters.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an existing book of commercial lines business with professionalism.
• Convey complex insurance information clearly to clients.
• Serve as primary contact for commercial client inquiries and requests.
• Collaborate with Account Executive on account activity.
• Coordinate renewal quotes with carriers and marketing as needed.
• Use carrier websites to quote, rate, bind and perform related tasks.
• Prepare client renewal proposals and agency proposal documents.
• Maintain accurate records in the agency management system (Epic).
• Review carrier issued documents for accuracy.
• Issue Certificates of Insurance and prep Auto ID Cards.
• Process mid-year client change requests.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and workflows.

About the Position

The Glatfelter Agency (TGA), a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. This individual will be assigned a book of business to maintain and service.

This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service an existing book of business with professionalism.
• Ability to convey complex insurance information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Serve as primary point of contact for Commercial client inquiries and requests.
• Collaborate with Account Executive, where appropriate, on account activity.
• Coordinate renewal quotes with incumbent carrier and alternative carriers if marketing, reconciling quotes to requested specifications.
• Utilize carrier websites to quote, rate, bind, and various other functions.
• Compiling materials for client renewal presentations, including preparation of the agency proposal document.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency management system (Epic).
• Review all carrier issued documents for accuracy.
• Issue Certificates of Insurance & Prepare Auto ID Cards.
• Process mid-year client change requests.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job required.
• Commercial Lines retail insurance agency experience required.
• Licensed Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Agent.
• Strong Microsoft Word Skills.
• CISR Designation preferred.
• Applied Epic experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers including but not limited to underwriters, clients, marketing representative, and service team members.
• Must be capable of working independently under team concept with general supervision.
• Should possess the ability to plan & prioritize, be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must possess problem solving capabilities.
• Must possess strong customer service skills.
• Should have the ability to adapt to changing and improving technologies, and able to function within various on-line company rating sites.
