The Company’s cloud-based, software as a service(“SaaS”) platform enables dealerships to manage their end-to-end business operations including the acquisition, sale, financing, insuring, repair, and maintenance of vehicles. By automating and streamlining critical workflows, the integrated platform of modern solutions enables dealers to sell and service more vehicles by creating simple and convenient experiences for customers and improves their financial and operational performance.

Position Summary

CDK is looking for a technical, strategic, and customer-focused Group Product Manager to lead Fortellis Marketplace, the leading integration ecosystem in the automotive retail industry. Fortellis enables dealers, OEMs, ISVs, developers, and CDK product teams to connect through APIs, integrations, apps, and marketplace experiences. This role will lead a team of Product Managers and own the product strategy, roadmap and execution for the Fortellis Marketplace, that includes CDK’s API Platform, the API & App Developer Experience, and creating an industry-leading Integration Hub experience for our customers. The leader will own and partner with other Product & Engineering Teams, Architecture, and commercial teams to strengthen our API strategic framework, how CDK builds APIs for the market, and the operating model across the organization. This role is a blend of strategy, API leadership, technical product management, customer experience, and team leadership. A successful candidate will be a self-starter with business acumen, a product-led growth mindset, and a strong ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. The ideal candidate should have experience building and scaling API platforms, developer ecosystems, integration and marketplaces, app marketplaces, self-service experiences, and front-end customer experiences. This person should understand how APIs and marketplace products are designed, governed, implemented, monetized, supported, and measured across an enterprise environment. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on product leader who wants to create the next generation of marketplace experiences for APIs, apps, integrations, MCPs, AI Agents, and self-service workflows.

Position Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for the Fortellis Platform and Marketplace.
  • Lead and develop Product Managers responsible for APIs, Fortellis Platform/API Gateway, Developer Experience, and App Marketplace capabilities.
  • Own CDK’s API strategic framework across Product & Technology, including API market strategy, design standards, quality expectations, lifecycle practices, governance, launch readiness, and monetization.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to define how CDK builds, publishes, governs, measures, and manages APIs for the market.
  • Lead API lifecycle strategy across intake, discovery, prioritization, design, documentation, governance, publishing, adoption, monetization, support, and retirement.
  • Establish and evangelize API-first and agent-ready product practices that improve API quality, developer experience, platform consistency, and readiness for AI/agentic use cases.
  • Be an evangelist in the market for API adoption and the Fortellis experience
  • Innovate Fortellis marketplace capabilities that support APIs, apps, integrations, MCP-enabled connectivity, AI Agents, and agentic product experiences across CDK products.
  • Improve the overall product experience for dealers, OEMs, ISVs, developers, and internal CDK teams across discovery, onboarding, subscription, provisioning, billing, support, and usage through automation and agentic workflows
  • Execute marketplace and Integration Hub experiences that make it easier for customers and partners to discover, activate, and manage APIs, apps, integrations, MCPs, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Use customer research, product analytics, marketplace metrics, API usage data, AI/agent utilization insights, operational trends, and financial measures to guide prioritization, manage OKRs, align cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the team delivers measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Manage team priorities, roadmap commitments, OKRs, and product operating rhythms to ensure the team is focused, accountable, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise SaaS, platform products, API platforms, developer platforms, integration platforms, ecommerce marketplaces, app marketplaces, or similar ecosystems.
  • Experience managing, coaching, or mentoring Product Managers.
  • Strong experience building, launching, governing, and scaling APIs across an organization.
  • Strong understanding of API strategy, lifecycle management, gateways, developer portals, API documentation, standards, monetization, governance, and decentralized API ownership models.
  • Experience defining API design standards, quality expectations, launch readiness practices, governance routines, and operating models across multiple product and engineering teams.
  • Experience building products with usage-based pricing, subscription models, partner revenue-share models, or marketplace business models.
  • Experience working in decentralized product and engineering organizations where API, platform, integration, or marketplace ownership spans multiple teams.
  • Experience building or scaling self-service marketplaces, app marketplaces, partner platforms, developer ecosystems, or commercial marketplace experiences.
  • Strong front-end customer experience instincts across discovery, search, purchase, subscription, onboarding, provisioning, billing, support, and customer self-service.
